She had been there over 20 years. And was an excellent employee. She was permanently laid off. She received a severance package - but she is 40 something and has to start over.<BR/><BR/>The other friend was supervisor of the printing press department of our local newspaper. Also there over 20 years and an excellent worker. They permanently closed his department and shipped the printing of the paper to another city 60 miles away. He's pushing 50, has three sons still in grade school, and now has to start all over.<BR/><BR/>Scary times ...<BR/>Appreciation and gratitude for what we have, is the only way to survive!dawnhttp://iowahippiechick.today.com/noreply@blogger.com
