When I read all the "Mommy" blogs, I ...You know ...<br />When I read all the "Mommy" blogs, I always think to myself -<br />"Ladies, stop complaining about the terrible two's, because they are going to fly by SO MUCH FASTER than you really realize!"<br />Raising our kids really does go by in a blink of an eye :-(<br />And it is FREAKING weird transitioning to the empty-nest phase of life.<br />No body really tells you about this time in life.<br />Or they make it sound like it should all be FABULOUS.<br />And it is kind of cool, having more time to focus on ourselves and our marriages, etc...<br />But you just don't turn off that MOM switch so easy.<br />My oldest son is 24 (almost 25) and we are still close.<br />I try to not WORRY about things too much ...<br />And he keeps in good contact.<br />The youngest son moved back home to save money, while working on his degree.<br />So we are not "officially" empty-nesters ... but when they are 22 years old and in college ... it pretty much is an empty-nest.<br /><br />But, I'll tell you it does get easier as time passes.<br />They still need us ...<br />Just not in an EVERYDAY sort of way.<br />I'm feeling for you wealthy-1 ...<br />Totally!!!<br />Hang in there and do something nice for you!!!<br />God Bless -<br />Your friend,<br />dawndawnhttp://meandcraig.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.com
